I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
